Seth Thomas Parlor No. 5 Double Dial Calendar Mantel Shelf Clock

Seth Thomas “Parlor Calendar #5″ model with double 8 dials. The walnut veneered case is clean with a few small dents (see photos) and measures 20″ x 12 1/2″ at base x 5 1/4 at the base. The original backboard indicates date of manufacture as April 1884. The movement is stamped with the maker’s name; date of last service is unknown but it is clear it could use a cleaning- the time side works well – the calendar advances daily as it should – the strike side runs if pressure placed on a lower wheel. The glass in the doors appears to be replaced; the dials are painted on tin plates in good condition and have been repainted at some point. Comes with ST brass pendulum -probably original.
