This is a beautifully restored Seth Thomas Westminster chiming clock Chime #74 from 1921. The beautiful mahogany tambour style cabinet has been fully restored and presents as it did over 100 years ago. The brass bezel has been hand polished to a shiny luster and has thick beveled glass. The original silvered dial is in good overall condition and shows some blemishes but is in better shape than most of these original silvered dials. The original #113 Westminster chiming movement has been cleaned and properly oiled and keeps very good time. This is a lovely small crystal regulator with an extended 15 day movement. It strikes hours and half hours on a cathedral gong. The movement has all cut steel pinions with heavy plates and is marked with the name of its designer, R. Kaiser, an engineer at Seth Thomas and is unique and highly collectable. The case retains its original gold plating in very good condition and the glass panels are intact. The clock measures 8 1/2 H x 5 1/4 W x 4 1/2 D, with a 3 inch porcelain dial.
