The front cover opens but you have to align the catch part when closing. It is off by an 1/8. The key is included. I wound it and started the pendulum swinging. Antique Seth Thomas OG clock. Mahogany case, good hand painted dial, good interior paper, original cast weights. Has 1/2hr strike and alarm. Measures 15 1/2 x 25 x 4 deep. Weights are 2’8″ and 2’13” which makes it a 30 hour clock I believe. Very original clock from what I can see, would guess 1880’s. Wants to run, certainly could use cleaning.
