Up for sale is a World War II era Seth Thomas Mark I Deck Clock. The clock has a white dial and black hands. The clock is time only, and winds from the rear. The clock is housed in a two piece bakelite case. Excellent overall condition, but the original beveled plastic has some minor imperfections that can only be seen at an angle. World War II Era. Dated October 1942 on the movement. The case appears to be a black Bakelite? 7 3/4 inches in diameter. The matte black 24 hour dial is stamped US NAVY 24902-E MADE BY SETH THOMAS IN U. 6 inches in diameter. The movement is stamped 10-42 MADE IN U. 5164 The clock is in good working order. Comes with a correct size key. The only flaw is a tiny chip on the back edge as shown. Not sure why the prior owner put duct tape on the back. Seth Thomas movement in brass. (only a few hundred were made). Minor superficial scratches barely visibles in front acrylic. It is in working, running condition but need clean service. Back shows GE logo, and a stamped serial number in white. Very good condition, no cracks in bakelite, no key. Original cardboard dial slight wear and tear visible on photos. 26 x 8.5 cms.
