Antique Seth Thomas Ogee Shelf Clock Brass 30 Hour Plymouth Hollow Conn. C. 1845

19th-century antique Seth Thomas “Ogee” shelf clock. This piece features a striking mechanical, weight-driven brass movement housed in a gorgeous mahogany veneer S-curve case. The interior backing features a remarkably well-preserved original factory paper label reading. This firmly places the manufacturing date prior to 1865, when the town was officially renamed Thomaston following Seth Thomas’s passing. The weights and key are included but have been safely unhooked and packed separately to prevent transit damage. It has not been mechanically tested for timekeeping or striking functionality. To guarantee safe arrival, this clock will be packed using a professional. The heavy iron weights and key will be heavily wrapped and positioned completely.
