Measuring approximately 11″ H x 6.5″ W x 3.5 D, this nautical timepiece has wonderful aged patina and authentic surface wear that adds to its maritime character. Please review all photos carefully for condition. Seth Thomas was one of America’s most important historic clockmakers, with roots dating to the early 19th century. Marine-style clocks such as this were designed around highly legible dials and robust mechanical construction. What makes this example particularly desirable is the combination of the large brass porthole-style case and separate external bell, a configuration considerably more visually striking than ordinary Seth Thomas mantel and wall clocks.

The brass/metal casing shows an authentic patina consistent with age and maritime use. The dial shows some light wear, adding to the piece’s character. Overall very good condition, but it is missing 4 spindles on the wheel. It can be used without the wheel portion. Otherwise just some light normal vintage surface marks.
