Vintage Seth Thomas US MARITIME COMMISSION Clock in Wood Case Wind-up Key. Antique US MARITIME COMMISSION Clock with Key Seth Thomas Clock Company. This is a remarkable clock that I have had for over 40 years and for quite a few years, it was on my boat. It’s the antique wind-up US Maritime Commission Clock manufactured by the Seth Thomas Clock Company. There is a wooden case with a brass faceplate that has elegant black numerals. And smaller number’13559′. A small metal knob on the right side keeps the front framed glass cover in place and the brass wind-up key usually hangs from that knob. Measurements are 7-3/4″ diameter x 3-1/4″ height and it weighs 3 pounds 2 ounces. The wind-up working condition is just fine. There is some oxidation to the brass faceplate and I have left it as is. It certainly could be polished if so desired. Please view the photos to get a more accurate idea of the condition. Such a GREAT decorative clock for use or display and perhaps to add to a collection!
