Clock winds up and rings. Not sure how it keeps time. I’m not a clock expert and acquired this item from an estate. The clock is shown from multiple angles in pictures for clarity and transparency. An Antique Seth Thomas Sonora Chime 4 hammer Mantle Clock. I know very little about clocks but learning. It runs and plays beautifully. It has a level to turn the chimes off which I think is a great feature. The pictures are part of the description. Comes with pendulum, and a key (not original).
