I don’t know any thing about clocks but I have some questions this clock face does not show the military hours like some of the others? The person how look at this said it chimes on a. 8 hour work time? Used is size 3 key which I do not have.

The clock winds up and runs and the clock chimes on the hour and half hour however the strikes don’t match the hands… The brass portions are just raw brass with no protective coating… Likewise there is cleaning polish or residue it and around the bezel and back the outside diameter of the bezel not including the wheel handles is 5 inches… The glass 4 inches… Please see photos as part of the description. Back x 5-5/16″ diameter front face 3-7/8″ diameter dial face x 3 depth. With key, in working condition, alarm chimes, with no cracks to the glass. This is a classic maritime-style brass and wood timepiece made in Thomaston, Connecticut by the Seth Thomas Division of General Time Corporation. Wood base with engraved plaque (“With Sincere Appreciation – Navy League of the United States”). Working German movement by Hermle. (keeps accurate time and strikes accurately on the hour and half hour). Clean dial with both 12- and 24-hour markings. Original model label intact on back plate. Great condition – minor signs of age but no damage.
