This antique patent September 7, 1880 Seth Thomas Adamantine mantle clock is in excellent smoke free running condition. It does have a tiny part of the top of the front right leg missing (really don’t notice it). It is a 4 column faux green marble with the key, pendulum and paper label on the back. Springs appear to have good power and visually appear to be in good condition. Also has a fine time adjustment arbor on the front, below the center shaft. Movement runs and chimes. For your consideration a beautiful 8 day Seth Thomas Antique Mantle Clock that works great. It runs eight days like it should and is in good condition; some of the decorative trim is missing in front and a little on 1 side (see enlarged photos of) and there are a few scratches which is to be expected for its age. The porcelain face has a small chip above the 7. Everything else is good. The clock comes with its key and pendulum. The clock has a 48R movement and a beveled glass door. This is a very attractive and desirable Seth Thomas Adamantine which I enjoy purchasing and working on because Seth Thomas made very high quality movements and pioneered the sort of veneer over wood look that looks great. This is not a top of the line adamantine but has a very decent look going with the lions heads tan beige marble tone and good looking bezel. But the dial does have cracks around the winding ports. Here we have a Mini Seth Thomas OG clock. The spring wound 30 hr clock movement runs, but have not checked the time. The case has some bumps and bruises but presents very well. I believe the clock is from the mid to the late 1800’s. Cosmetic condition is as shown in the pictures. Pictures are part of my description. Please inspect all of them attentively.
