This is fine Seth Thomas marked Seth on the dial that has excellent luster remaining It has been running and striking fine since purchasing and checking out in early spring and for those who don’t realize they go up to 8 strikes every half hour for a total 4 hour watch. The door/bezel is a twist off being more rare and the other in one of the pictures is a hinged bezel which is much easier. Antique Seth Thomas 30 hour clock. Comes with key and pendulum. Runs and strikes the number of hours, these never had the half hour strike. The case is in good original condition with overall wear and tear. The dial is badly flaking and it flakes more every time you touch it. There are a few things you can do to fix the dial, the easiest being to paste a paper image onto the dial, find another one in better condition or just leave it as is. Vintage Seth Thomas Helmsman E537-001. Some surface tarnish, as to be expected with the age (I did not polish it). A few bends on the unscrew able face I guess it got dropped a few times over the years. Measures about 9 inches from outer wheel grip to outer wheel grip.
