Rare Huge Antique Seth Thomas Lobby Clock W/ 18 Dial. Pendulum stick needs repair. May have other mechanical issues. Dial has considerable loss and in-painting. Case likely cleaned or refinished. I received this clock it was the case and all the other pieces were loose, so the previous owner was in the process of working on it. Measures about 38″ x 25 1/4″. Seth Thomas “Parlor Calendar #5″ model with double 8 dials. The walnut veneered case is clean with a few small dents (see photos) and measures 20″ x 12 1/2″ at base x 5 1/4 at the base. The original backboard indicates date of manufacture as April 1884. The movement is stamped with the maker’s name; date of last service is unknown but it is clear it could use a cleaning- the time side works well – the calendar advances daily as it should – the strike side runs if pressure placed on a lower wheel.
