Here is a pretty clean Seth Thomas calendar clock, the suspension rod is off as you can see in one of the pictures, and I think where it attaches at the top needs replaced on the rod itself that little flimsy piece of metal! The case and everything else is very nice, some loss on one of the moldings on the top on the side as shown in the pictures. So at the moment because of the spring I have not tested the clock.

Measuring approximately 11″ H x 6.5″ W x 3.5 D, this nautical timepiece has wonderful aged patina and authentic surface wear that adds to its maritime character. Please review all photos carefully for condition. Seth Thomas was one of America’s most important historic clockmakers, with roots dating to the early 19th century. Marine-style clocks such as this were designed around highly legible dials and robust mechanical construction. What makes this example particularly desirable is the combination of the large brass porthole-style case and separate external bell, a configuration considerably more visually striking than ordinary Seth Thomas mantel and wall clocks.

Estate find includes key see photos. Clock runs for a while then stops likely needs cleaning/service.

This door has the original, very nice clean finish. More importantly it has the original glass with original wood glass holding surrounds – check photos. If you are looking for a fine replacement for your damaged door – this is it. Last photo shows an age crack on the top of the door – will not show when clock is hanging. Back side has some flaws as shown in photos. Size is 28 1/2″ tall, widest on door top is 15 1/2″, widest on door bottom is 11 1/2.

This Seth Thomas Mantel Clock 401-003 is in very good working condition except the moon dial doesn’t appear to move otherwise, a great working clock keeping very good time and strikes on brass rods Westminster tune.
