This model has octagonal opening for the dials, and a beautiful reverse painted tablet in the center. The beautiful rosewod veneered case has a newer finish. There are minor chips at the extreme edges of the case. The upper dial is refinished, while the lower dial has a newer paper dial. There are 2 extra mounting holes in the lower dial. Up for sale is this very Rare Antique Seth Thomas Pilot House Ships Clock Case with Stand and over 8 diameter Dial. Lots of wear and issues both to the brass and wood. This is a full on restoration project. The case isnt true round near the door hinge, so the dial wont sit in there and the door doesnt close and latch. Up for sale is this Rare Antique Seth Thomas Brass & Copper Ships Clock Style Mantle Clock with a 6 Dial. This model has the 105 Platform Escapement Movement. But it was fully wound and not ticking for the past few years Ive owned, it was not until I moved the hands to hear the strike that it started running, which to me indicates it needs at least a cleaning and servicing.
