Body made in the late 1800’s. Looks to be made of walnut… Please see pictures and use your best judgement. FANTASTIC DESIGN THAT IS HARD TO FIND. 11 1/2″ wide, 19 1/2″ tall, and 5 deep. The wood body and glass is in great shape with no cracks or chips. The face has a couple age spots that are hard to see with the door closed. The door closes and locks in place with its original lock. No loose wood sections. It runs for a short time only so may need oiled. The reverse paint on the glass looks fantastic with no wear. The Seth number 2 was an accurate time keeper and the railroad used them in their system showing the correct time to the many travelers passing through the train stations. This clock was bought by a rich man in the Emile Jacot jewelry in Quebec city Quebec, Canada on october 6 1913 and there is the jeweler signature on back of clock. All 3 hands hour minutes and second are original.
