Nice item in good vintage condition. Missing the key but I was able to wind it and get it ticking. Appears to work well but probably needs to be tuned up and oiled. Also needs some nuts to hold the movement in place as there are rubber grommets holdin it on. The case is bronzed over what appears to be a vast spelter alloy. The faces is branded. Antique Seth Thomas Mantel Clock “Rebecca at the Well” c1870 Painted Spelter. Beautiful clock with bronze looking patina but its painted that way. One of the palm tree fronds broke off in the back and the porcelain dial is chipped around the key holes which is normal especially at the age of this clock. I did wind a couple of turns and turned nice and smooth but thats as far as testing as I went. When the hour strikes the bell does ring. Measures 16H x 17W x 6.5D.
