Vtg Seth Thomas Double Spring Railroad or Ship’s Wall Clock on Wood Plaque Runs

Double Spring, Runs 7-5/8 Bezel. Would make a great gift for a special occasion, or keep it for yourself! Nice looking wall clock here. Made by the Seth Thomas Company in the USA. This is not the smaller 4 case model. This is the larger 7-5/8 case model. Would guess from design that the clock was made prior to WWII. The clock is most likely a 16 day mechanical brass movement with the two spring winds. No strike or chime here with this clock. Nice black colored composite case here. The numbering and minute marking are done in black on the antique white background face. The hands match and look […]

Antique ships clock one of a kind

The perfect gift for your Sailor! This plaque is 17 inches in diameter. It is hand made and definitely one of a kind. Unlike civil clock bells, the strikes of the bell do not accord to the number of the hour. Instead, there are eight bells, one for each half-hour of a four-hour watch. Bells would be struck every half-hour, and in a pattern of pairs for easier counting, with any odd bells at the end of the sequence. It is made of several different kinds of wood. It runs well, keeps time and strikes as designed.

WWI US NAVY Emergency Fleet Corporation SETH THOMAS SHIPS PILOT HOUSE CLOCK Rare

Very rare Emergency Fleet Corporation clock in all original condition. Runs and keeps very accurate time. Key is not original. Screwing the face back on can be a little tricky sometimes to find the threads. I find that snapping it on first then turning it works best. Please observe photos carefully and utilize zoom feature for complete condition evaluation. If anything is unclear ask for clarification before purchasing.
