World War II Era. Dated October 1942 on the movement. The case appears to be a black Bakelite? 7 3/4 inches in diameter. The matte black 24 hour dial is stamped US NAVY 24902-E MADE BY SETH THOMAS IN U. 6 inches in diameter. The movement is stamped 10-42 MADE IN U. 5164 The clock is in good working order. Comes with a correct size key. The only flaw is a tiny chip on the back edge as shown. Not sure why the prior owner put duct tape on the back. Up for sale is this Early Antique Seth Thomas Brass Marine Lever Locomotive Or Ships Clock. A key will be included. This clock was restored by a previous owner and they mounted the dial to the sides of the case in a way that in order to get to the movement you have to remove the the brass tacks or nails and pull it out the back (after removing the hands).
