Seth Thomas engine room clock with black phenolic case in working condition. Early serial number’3047′ dates this clock in the 1930’s. Comes with winding key. Marked’Made by Seth Thomas In USA. 12/24 hour clock. Can be mounted/hung using the three holes on the back side of the case. 7 3/4″ diameter, 2 3/4″ depth(3 1/8 including the knob). Missing second hand. Case has supposedly been cleaned to some extent, giving it the black/brown marbled look. Paint markings on some parts of the side and the back of the case. Antique Seth Thomas Ship’s/Engine Room Clock

This one features a bakelite case with 8 day time only movement. The clock was last serviced in 2021. It ran when recently tested. The clock is in overall good condition. There are some signs of normal wear and age such as wear on the dial and some crackling to the bakelite around the hinge. The clock measures 7.75 inches in diameter and 3.75 inches in depth. Update #1: Someone reached out and suggested that the second hand is also clipped and shorter than original. I don’t know enough to say for sure, but I’m happy to report this as another potential issue in addition to the condition issues below. Condition notes: decent shape, but parts only. The sun-numbers in red are often much more faded. The colors are good. The second hand isn’t firmly attached to center dial. The screw down doesn’t appear original – it’s brown instead of a matching black. One screw (of 3) missing from metal ring holding dial in case. Seth Thomas movement in brass. (only a few hundred were made). Minor superficial scratches barely visibles in front acrylic. It is in working, running condition but need clean service. Back shows GE logo, and a stamped serial number in white. Very good condition, no cracks in bakelite, no key. Original cardboard dial slight wear and tear visible on photos. 26 x 8.5 cms.
