Beyond rare and hard to find alone is a set of early original Seth Thomas urn style finials. These came off an early on the Seth Thomas Pillar and Scroll clocks just after their earliest wood finials, 1820’s. The base and spiral style top are turned cast brass. Bowels are two piece spun brass. The steel posts are just under 1/8 dia. With just a few threads on the top of the rods. They show some rust and tarnish which they should for their age. HARD TO FIND SETH THOMAS FROM PLYMOUTH HOLLOW! Looks to have a capital type scene with an American flag. The original backing paper always adds to the look and feel of these old ogee clocks. Black body with brown marbled type columns. 25″ tall, 15″ wide, and 4.5 deep. The wood body is in good shape with light signs of age. Both glass panes look to be original and have some light bubbles and waves that you have in early glass. The little locking handle is original and works as it should.
