This clock has a 30-hour strap plate four arbor wood movement. The backplate of the movement is actually part of the backboard. The gears are strong with no chips or missing teeth. The movement makes use of compound pully system. All pullies are original. The mahogany and mahogany veneered case is in very nice condition in an old, possibly original finish. Made by Seth Thomas out of Plymouth Conn. USA in the late 1800’s. 25″ tall, 14 7/8″ wide, and 4 1/2 deep. Looks to be walnut but please see pictures to be sure. Front glass panes are in good shape with no cracks. The top glass has that old wavy appearance to it. Good antique patina throughout. The outside cabinet has small scratches etc. The face has patina. Exterior is moderately dirty and dusty throughout. Exterior shows moderate to heavy surface scratching, scuffing, general wear, paint wear and brown discoloration throughout.
