Gorgeous Seth Thomas half column weight driven shelf clock. Beautiful rosewood case with minor nicks, chips and scratches (see pics), original reverse glass, original top glass, both iron weights, pendulum and 30 hour oiled works, with alarm mechanism. Newer looking face over zinc plate, no key included. About 25 tall by 15 wide and 4 deep. Counts the hour on a wire gong (removed for tuning in the pic). Made by Seth Thomas out of Plymouth Conn. USA in the late 1800’s. 25″ tall, 14 7/8″ wide, and 4 1/2 deep. Looks to be walnut but please see pictures to be sure. Front glass panes are in good shape with no cracks. The top glass has that old wavy appearance to it. Good antique patina throughout. The outside cabinet has small scratches etc. The face has patina. The reverse paint is chipping in areas. No key or bob. The strings and hooks are still present. PLEASE AS QUESTIONS IF NEEDED. Perfect lower reverse image, repainted zinc-backed dial exactly as original and has nice “ST” repro hands. Cleaned and oiled 30-hour brass spring-driven and marked works. Made by Seth Thomas out of Plymouth Hollow Conn. USA in the early to mid 1800’s. Large 25″ tall, 15 1/4″ wide, and 4 1/8 deep. Looks to be walnut but please see pictures to be sure. Great shape with little signs of age on the front or sides of cabinet. The reverse painted flower scene gives it a great appearance. The face has a great antique look as well.
