Very Nice Antique Seth Thomas 8-Day Chime Adamantine Mantel Clock Circa 1904 Working Well. This is a very nice antique Seth Thomas 8-day chime Adamantine mantel clock. It features a black onyx finish with lovely embossed scrollwork, six full capped columns, lion’s head handles and ornate brass feet. It has beautiful green marbleized Adamantine colors. It measures 18″ wide including the feet, 7″ deep and 11 1/4 tall. It runs well and chimes at the top of the hour with the correct number of hours and once at the bottom of the hour. I wound it up and it starts right up, I have not checked it for accuracy. The glass is original, the cork seal is all good. Just an amazing piece for any collector! For sale is a large size Victorian mantle Ogee clock in its original wooden case, made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company. The clock is weight driven, instead of spring driven, which explains its large size design. The original Seth Thomas label is still present and quite complete and readable from the interior of the clock. The clock is complete (with pendulum, the winding key, and two weights) It winds, ticks and chimes (on half and full hours) as it should.
