Clock and bell and barometer keeping accurate time there is very minimal tarnish on the brass.

As found condition, it will need your TLC cleaning but it’s working right along. It would be striking with the brass balls polished and the unique wrap around hands polished, but I will leave that to the new owner.

There is a tiny piece of veneer missing at the top right which is barely noticeable (see last photo); otherwise, I see no other defects in the wood case which looks to be maple. It has a very nice reverse painted tablet that does have a few scratches in the paint on the inside of the door that really are not seen from the front with the door closed.

A great looking Seth Thomas mantle clock, looks to be made from black slate or a type of black stone with faux marble highlights. The clock is 12″ H x 15 3/4″ wide x 6 1/2 deep. The clock is a heavy 27lbs.

Adamantine is a celluloid veneer, glued to the wood case. Adamantine veneer was made in black and white, and in colored patterns such as wood grain, onyx and marble. The 1880 is the patent date for the adamantine finish.

Very clean Seth Thomas 8 Day Westminster Chime clock. Brass garniture on the door. It runs and chimes just as it should and looks great. It measures 14 inches tall, 10 3/4 wide and 7 1/4 deep. Very nice Seth Thomas Adamantine mantle clock. This clock works but while taking pictures I see that the suspension spring is broken. Update: The suspension spring was not broken just unhooked. The clock purrs like a kitten and chimes work also.
