Onondaga Salvage Shipwreck Artifact by B. Just north of Watch Hill Reef, Rhode Island, rests the steel hulled freighter, Onondaga. The wreck is partially intact and rises 20′ off the gravel bottom. Never have seen a piece such as this. His artwork made from the Onondaga is considered RARE and is highly collectable when it is available which does not seem to happen often. This piece has a Seth Thomas Helmsman E537-014 mounted to base. So I assume at some point it has been converted from its original mechanical movement, perhaps? Still an overall stunning piece of art by an artist whose pieces rarely come to market.

Good condition clock, includes the key, worked last time it was wound 5 years ago. Bell still worked too. Mounted to handsome wood wall mount to hang and display. There is some tarnish that may be able to be cleaned up. I tried to highlight those areas as much as possible.

Vintage Seth Thomas Helmsman E537-001. Some surface tarnish, as to be expected with the age (I did not polish it). A few bends on the unscrew able face I guess it got dropped a few times over the years. Measures about 9 inches from outer wheel grip to outer wheel grip. Features a silent setting in case you do not want to hear the bells. Also a faster/slower setting, in case the clock is not keeping time. Runs and chimes fine. I have had is running for weeks. The vintage Clock is in great condition. Minor signs of aging on the Brass. Clock works as it should and is very clean inside.
