Offering this rare and beautiful Art Nouveau mantel clock by Seth Thomas. It features a lithe fairy figure on one side of the clock’s pillar and a cherub on the other side. The fairy has a realistic face and body and moth-like wings, and the cherub is a typical Cupid-style figure with a mandolin. There are Art Nouveau motifs throughout, from the sinuous feet to the pebbled texture of the pillar to the windblown ribbon to the scrolls and roses on top. This is a very handsome Seth Thomas figural clock with their version of the round French style movment. I tried to show it off in the pictures for I’m proud of the outcome. I also always liked the condition of the enamel dial and the great thick glass bezel, original pendulum, low wear movement, and overall a very handsome clock.
