Vintage Seth Thomas WWII US MARITIME COMMISSION Clock in Wood Case- No Key. Black bakelite case with a natural metal color face, serial number 31856, case measures 7.5 inches in diameter x 2.75 inches deep. It weighs: 3 lbs 1.3 oz. Untested with no key. This is basically in really good condition mostly just dirty from being stored for a long time. Please view photos for more details.

It’s been keeping pretty good time for a few hours but the chimes are very reluctant to engage without some help; it sounds like they will strike on the quarter hour but I can’t fully guarantee that. I once got it where it hit all four chimes simultaneously and it really sounded great. But obviously it needs work to get back to correct operation. The dial has various scratches as pictured, the wood case is very clean with a few dings, light scratches, and such, and a couple dark spots to one side (see closeup picture). This is a vintage used condition that is not perfect scuffing damage, as shown, as shown. One side glass broken and bottom door glass missing. Untested parts or repair.
