Rare antique 1850’S Seth Thomas 5 bells chime tall case grandfather clock. The 5 bells movement with marked chimes on the quarter hour and strikes on the hours. High 82″, width 19″, depth 11. The top door of cherry case is a small repaired (#18,19), otherwise is in good condition with age wear. See all photos for details. The cherry case, pendulum and weights are unoriginal parts. The electric motor is in good working condition and the gears turn. The clock minute and hour hand don’t advance even though the motor is functional and other gears turn. The chime & striker hammer inside works fine and chimes on the 1/2 and hour if you advance the minute hand manually. Comes with the chime tool to wind chime spring. Large Brass Case with original patina. Measures 7″ Bezel, 5-3/4″ face & 4 deep. Rear flange has 3 holes to mount on wall. Case has a few dings in case, the face is silver plated with black letters, has a small dent by seconds hand between the 20 & 30 seconds. Works well keeps good time and has a key. It was to go to Las Vegas Nevada. Mailed check overnight it arrived one day late. He claimed I was a scammer and he was going to turn me over to state attorney general.
