5 3/8 wide on face, edge to edge. It has been kept in very nice condition. Face shows no issues. Sides have a couple of spots here and there. See all the pictures for more details. The clock runs and chimes, but the chimes do not correspond to time. Clock should be attached to a wall for the chimes to work properly. Could be just a matter of leaving it on the wall for a day or two, and everything might work properly. Could be serviced by a clock repair person. Any questions, please ask.

Therefore, I will state with considerable certainty as this duo does seem rather elusive that this set has become very collectable and a tad rare! The name of this set is; “SHIPMATES” and there is a sticker on the bottom of the base which verifies the fact. This Seth Thomas clock and Barometer set would be dated somewhere around 1938 or sometime shortly thereafter. Production of the No. 44 Wheel Bezel Clock would date back to 1928 and the Herald No. 1 Barometer at the earliest around 1938. These are in excellent condition, with all functions operating perfectly. This clock and barometer have a rich history, having originally been on my grandfather’s sloop from 1929 to 1980, and then on my father’s Endeavour 36 from 1980 to 2000. They are currently displayed on a handmade mahogany stand built by my father, which is included.
