The clock is in working condition and appears to be keeping good time. The clock will chime on the hour and half hour as expected. The key will be included. There are some minor scuffs/scratches – it is much less than average considering the age of the clock. The “Stroke” and “Silent” toggle is working. The movement is German and marked on the lower portion of the dial. The glass on the front screw-off dial is intact and clean (no cracks). The back of the clock is stamped with, SETH THOMAS DIV. No Serial Number. Dial – signed Seth Thomas – Dial is paper – dial does have some discoloration. Black Arabic numbers – single sunk, wonderful heavy black steel hands. Solid Brass case with porthole beveled glass crystal – Front measures 6″ diameter 4″ deep – back measures 8. Movement -appears to be working when wound and chime/striker is working – not tested and can not vouch for accuracy, reliability, missing broken, or scratched parts and pieces. Aside from that, the clock is in good shape. It has a few dings around the edges. The face appears dusty but it isn’t. But all in all, it is a fabulous clock and will make a great addition to your collection.
