Sound Opening on Bottom. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself. A nice looking patinaed brass lacquer look case on this clock. Would guess the clock dates to just before the WWII period. Has no markings on the back of the case. An uncommon feature with this clock is the sound venting on the bottom of the case. An uncommon, but ingenious feature to allow the strike of the clock to be heard over a larger area. The bezel (door) is attached to the rest of the case. Flat glass in the bezel is intact.
