It works and sounds good. Silver dial shows wear. Internal work appears clean and is not frosted. Adamantine finish on case is in very good condition. The door glass is beveled.

INTERNET SAYS SETH THOMAS DATE CODES ARE IN. SO “7881 D” SHOULD TRANSLATE AS APRIL 1887. AND ALSO THE CLOCK FACE HAS PAINT LOSS. REVERSE AND THE LETTER STANDS FOR THE MONTH. DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT OLD CLOCKS.
