I picked this up some time ago I believe from upstate New York. I liked the overall look and the fact it is a Seth Thomas which along with Ansonia are always desirable and it is very original. It as the additional alarm with the half hour strike and the proper number on the hour plus it has very low wear on the movement bushings. The case is very non repaired looking and all in all in very good condition plus guaranteed to be a good runner. Description: 1909 Ornate Seth Thomas Brass & Glass Crystal Regulator Clock with alarm. Includes Key and Pendulum. Features winding points for the movement, alarm, and pendulum height/speed adjustment. Clock does not wind. Measurements: 6 1/2″ x 8″ x 16 Weight:13 lb. Condition: Good antique, used, as found condition. Some tarnishing to the brass, particularly on the top side and the corner ornaments. This clock comes with an alarm mechanism that I tend to see less and less of these days in clock collecting. Often these mechanisms will be seen in Ogee clocks and 8 day spring driven mantle clocks. Columns have been re-gessoed and painted in a faux marble look with gold compliments. Some veneer flaking or loose spots with age. Overall in excellent shape. The clock measures 16″ x 10 1/2″ x 5.
