Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Time and Strike Banjo Clock 1920’s. This beautiful clock was made by The Seth Thomas Clock Co. In Thomaston, Connecticut, USA during the 1920’s. It features a quality Seth Thomas #120J time and strike, keywind, pendulum driven movement. We wound it up and tested it for a few days. Absolutely beautiful 1920’s Seth Thomas Sentinal #4 (I found it in a 1924 catalog), 8 day Tambour with beautiful Adamantine mahogany wood finish. This clock chimes on the hour and half hour. This clock has a 89F movement, it has been cleaned, oiled and runs great. Dial (porcelain) and bezel in very good condition. I have polished the bezel to bring back the brass shine. The case is in very good condition with minimal wear considering age, one small veneer chip on right side at bottom. Clock is in good shape overall with a few signs of wear on the case, but no major damage. Has the pendulum weight but does not have a key, so I’m unable to wind it to test. Internal parts appear to be in good shape with no damage or signs of wear. Measures 11″ x 5″ x 9. There are some dates in pencil that I’m assuming are dates the clock was serviced, but I cannot say for sure if that’s what they mean. 1920s Antique Seth Thomas Mantel Clock Working. Displays and keeps accurate time. The clock measures 6 wide, 9.5 tall and 5.5deep. The case is in very good condition with very few marks(see top). No repairs or breaks. The 3.5dial, 4 bezel and beveled glass are all in great shape. The 8 day brass movement is clean and keeps accurate time. However, the movement does not strike each hour correctly. The movement correctly strikes once on every half hour but only strikes once at the top of every hour.
