A great looking Seth Thomas mantle clock, looks to be made from black slate or a type of black stone with faux marble highlights. The clock is 12″ H x 15 3/4″ wide x 6 1/2 deep. The clock is a heavy 27lbs.

Case measures 10 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ x 16h. Bell on the hour only. 4 7/8 stamped on the brass front plate. Looks like an alarm feature could be added. You won’t be disappointed. Net weight is 6 lbs.

Looks to have a woodcock bird type nature scene on the glass with some illegible writing and a number a year?? 1877 on the obverse. Has the original backing paper that adds to the look and feel of these old ogee clocks. 16.5″ tall, 10.5″ wide, and 4 deep. The wood body is in good shape with light signs of age. Both glass panes look good. The little locking handle is original and works as it should. The door is a little loose. The face has that perfect amount of patina only found with antiques. Antique 1800’s Victorian Seth Thomas Calendar Parlor Clock. The clock has been running continuously for a week. There is some time drift so some adjustment is needed. I don’t know if the day calendar feature is working properly. I looked at it one day and then it moved a number of days. Not sure how it works. The clock face has a lot of flaking. Seth Thomas Ogee Shelf Clock w Original Reverse Painting on Glass, 1800’s Reverse glass painting of Roman columns scene on the bottom window. Ogee case, made in possibly Plymouth Hollow, tablet glass puttied in, missing top tablet glass. Dial is metal, and two rings drawn around time track with dots for minute marks.
