The Berkeley is a highly regarded and sought-after model, known for its refined proportions, elegant lines, and quality construction typical of Seth Thomas clocks from this period. Restoration & Mechanical Condition. This clock has been fully and properly restored inside and out. The movement has been completely disassembled, with all parts cleaned ultrasonically, inspected, and reassembled to proper working condition. The mainsprings that power the clock have been removed from their arbors, thoroughly cleaned, and properly greased to ensure smooth and reliable operation. Several new bushings were installed in the movement where needed to correct wear and restore proper tolerances before reassembly. All pivots were polished on the lathe to reduce friction and promote long-term performance. The clock has been carefully tested and is running strong and keeping good time, ready for dependable use. Cabinet & Cosmetic Condition. The cabinet has been fully and properly restored, preserving the original character of the clock while presenting beautifully. The finish has been carefully cleaned, stabilized, and professionally refinished, bringing out the depth and warmth of the wood grain. Any necessary attention to the case structure and veneer has been addressed to ensure a clean and solid presentation.
