Antique Seth Thomas Plymouth 8 Day Mantel Shelf Clock Working. This is a really nice scarce antique Seth Thomas Plymouth 8-Day mantel clock dating from the 1940’s. It strikes with a two- tone chime once at the quarter hour, twice at the half hour, three times at the 3/4 hour and counts the hours with a single chime at the top of the hour. It has a mahogany case with lighter wood inlay. It has a metal face with raised numerals. The clock is in very good original condition and includes the original key. See my other listings. This is a nice example of a SETH THOMAS Sonora 2 bell ding dong strike mantle clock. It has its original ADAMANTINE finish that really only has a couple small nicks on the top corners. It has been running strong and striking correctly for several days. It looks to have been cleaned and lubricated not too long ago. It does have its original back wood cover with a rough label intact.
