Offered here is an antique Seth Thomas beautiful mahogany pillar shelf clock to restore. The case is in very good antique condition. The hand painted dial is worn. The interior is in need of restorations. There are weights included if you need them, but there is no pendulum or key included. The clock measures 25″ tall, 15″ wide and 4 1/2 deep. I believe the piece is Seth Thomas – the hands are Asian style and spell out ST. I didnt see a mark on the movement. Beautiful piece, but needs work. The movement isnt working and will need repaired. The case is engraved, the dial is porcelain l and it has an open escapement. The movement is not marked where I can see it. The door is missing and there are 2 back feet missing. THIS IS A REALLY NICE EXAMPLE OF THE SETH THOMAS CHIME CLOCK NO. 14 SONORA 5 BELL MAHOGANY BEEHIVE CLOCK. THE CLOCK RUNS AND STRIKES PROPERLY AND WE WILL HAVE A LINK TO A VIDEO SO YOU CAN WATCH IT RUN THROUGH THE WESTMINSTER BELL TUNES. THE CLOCK IS DIFFICULT TO BALANCE AND IT ONLY HAS ONE “SWEET SPOT”. IT TOOK US APPROX. 20 MINUTES TO GET THE CLOCK IN BALANCE AND IT NEEDED TO BE REBALANCED WHEN WE MOVED IT FROM THE MANTEL TO A TABLE.
