Antique Seth Thomas 1850 Victorian house clock. Item is made of mostly brass throughout with a copper front, scratch top left. Roman numeral numbers on the round class covered clock dial. Smaller round seconds dial placed at top of round dial. Tiled roof made of brass adhered to house with tiny brass nails, one is missing and pictured. Front is etched with flower pots one featuring items with flower the other stems with stars and bugs and birds giving this novelty clock a whimsical twist. Signed by artist in two spot of the dial with initials below and engraved in the brass on the inside the copper wall plate as well, also pictured. House sits on four pedestals, one leg is bend on back and has affected the way the door to gear room functions. Brass door doesn’t close all the way. A skilled metal worker could move this back. Item has two rectangular windows on either side made of glass and can be removed to clean as there are tiny little screws inside. The inside of clock features many brass dials and two brass turn keys. The right one turns and makes a pendulum on the underside of the house hit a bell. The door to this unit shuts fast with a brass latch. The item has been cleaned and polished and may have a slight tobacco scent from the estate it was taken from. Does not keep time.
