Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Time, Strike and Alarm Steeple Clock Circa 1882. It has the original signed Seth Thomas 8 day time, strike and alarm movement that is in really nice condition, not showing much sign of wear at all. It is still running, keeping time and gonging properly. It has the original label inside with a sale sticker pasted over it dated 1882. The reverse painted bottom glass depicting an 1800’s lady appears to be original. This is a beautiful antique Seth Thomas 8-Day Mantel/Shelf Clock. It is a crystal Regulator clock. I think the Model is Empire or Empire 301. The face is marked “Seth Thomas”. On the back of the clock works is marked’Made in US America. The double barrel pendulum is not filled with mercury. The clock in excellent vintage condition, i. Seth Thomas Mantle Clock Model 124 A with Mayland movement, 5 hammer Westminster chime. Runs and strikes reliably, comes with what appears to be original key and pendulum. Doric arch case with marquetry. Case is good, light wear marks the worst of which is near the 8 o’clock pos. Bezel and face showing signs of light wear (pics). Seth Thomas Model #74 or #75 Tambour Westminster Chime Mantle Clock. I collect and restore any clock that specifically has the Seth Thomas 113(A) movement. I have literally overhauled 20 or 30 of these specific movements. I think I can faithfully say that I completely understand the nuances of this particular movement probably more than most anyone else other than Seth Thomas himself.
