The “Adamantine” finish is a durable, early plastic veneer (celluloid) applied over a wood case to mimic the look of materials like marble or mahogany. Typically an eight-day, mechanical movement that strikes the hours on a gong and the half-hours on a bell. Features a decorative, ornate brass or painted celluloid dial with black Arabic numerals.
