Here is a recent estate find. This has a Beautiful Brass Nautical Porthole Style Case with Wooden Back with’Snap On’ Bezel and Exposed Bottom Bell, with Original Seth Thomas Maker’s Label on Back. The Clock Has a’Silver Over Brass’ Metal Dial with Roman Numerals and Seconds Sweep Sub Dial, Signed “Seth Thomas” and “Manufactured in the United States of America”. This is a Key Wind Clock. Vintage Seth Thomas Helmsman Ship’s Wheel Clock Model 1008 E537-001-Brass/Wood

This is a classic maritime-style brass and wood timepiece made in Thomaston, Connecticut by the Seth Thomas Division of General Time Corporation. Wood base with engraved plaque (“With Sincere Appreciation – Navy League of the United States”). Working German movement by Hermle. (keeps accurate time and strikes accurately on the hour and half hour). Clean dial with both 12- and 24-hour markings. Original model label intact on back plate. Great condition – minor signs of age but no damage.
