I have trained to set the clock withe original pendulum but because it is very old clock it is very hard to set it up, so I have replaced the pendulum and now the clock seems to work well. As mentioned in condition I worked on movement, but didn’t realize until I put it back into the case that it chimes a few minutes early, and needs winding more like every 6 days, rather than 8. Has a nice watch-type floating balance escapement. It’s keeping pretty good time, but you might need to adjust fast/slow lever once it’s set up to adjust to your placement.
