$1 NO RESERVE Seth Thomas Adamantine Mantel Clock Bim Bam Strike not Ding Dong
So many of these adamantine mantel clocks have chips all over, as the adamantine finish is a veneer that may chip off when note handled carefully. It has very small, TINY adamantine losses at two corners that are barely noticeable – I think most people would still easily rate this clock a 9.5 out of 10 when it comes to condition. The photos are large, and high quality, so please use the enlargement function and scroll around the photos to confirm the outstanding condition. This clock has what’s called the Bim Bam strike, which has 2 different tones that strike on the hour, and a single strike on the half hour. It’s the same concept as the Seth Thomas Ding Dong strike clocks, however instead of bells, it strikes two metal rods that have a deeper, richer sound than the bells on the Ding Dong strike. This comes with a vintage Seth Thomas key, but I cannot guarantee it’s original to this clock. The key has a slight bend in one of the handles, but is solid, and I’ve been using it for over 15 years. This clock runs well and keeps great time, but also features the capability to easily change the movement to run a little faster or slower if required. Thank you for looking, and questions are welcomed. The steps they go through to control the process are ridiculous! 16-1/4″ wide x 9-1/4″ tall x 5-1/8 deep.
