This model features a signed Seth Thomas #120 movement which has been cleaned and serviced and is in good running and gonging order. It counts out each hour, i. 1 chime at 1:00, 2 chimes at 2:00, etc. On a high quality flat (possibly bronze) gong that has a great resonating sound, and announces each half hour with a single toll. Time Only w/ a Seconds Hand/Face. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself. Just a beautiful brass case on this clock. Would guess the clock dates to just before the WWII period. Has “K478″ impressed on the back of the case. Maritime Commission in 1936. The bezel is securely attached to the rest of the case. Flat glass in the bezel is intact. Just some minor surface scratching to the glass, no cracks or blistering. The clock has been running since we acquired it. This is a time only clock. Movement is a Seth Thomas 8-day time and strike movement with a bell chime which strikes on the half hour and a deep gong which strikes the hour. Springs appear to have good power and visually appear to be in good condition. Also has a fine time adjustment arbor on the front, below the center shaft. Movement runs and chimes. The case is a rare white adamantine finish and in very good condition for the age. There are some nicks and blemishes in the finish (I have tried to make them clearly visible in the photos).
