1909 Seth Thomas 12 Drop Octagon Schoolhouse Time Clock w/ Pendulum & Key. 12 Drop Octagon Schoolhouse Time Clock. Includes Winding Key and Pendulum. Clock face measures 12 inches. 24″ x 16″ x 4.5 (HLW). Easily hangs on the wall with the attached large round hook. Schoolhouse style, only tells time, does not chime. Behind clock face shows the marked service dates along with the artist/clock makers signature. One or two missing screws in the clock face. Gifted on Oct 2, 1909. Service Dates Noted: 1938, 1977, 1982. Will need to be serviced to work properly.

Has two mainsprings for the time. Made in the USA. Runs and keeps decent time. Measures about 7 inches in diameter.

This is one of Seth Thomas’s smaller 8 day mantel clocks with a silvered dial, thick beveled glass, and full front door. Cosmetically I don’t see any issues. The finish is old, but nice with a warm patina. It appears to be mostly original and not tampered with. The clock was wound, and was allowed to run as it was being listed. When the hands were cycled, the clock chimed. The last service is not documented and the condition is as is. It’s a great looking clock with more quality than allot of their other small mantels. It’s priced to sell so don’t miss it!

Clockwork runs smoothly, keeps exact time. Face shows honest time wear and bakelite case is solid, no chips, cracks, one early repair on top mounting hole. Top area surface is slightly coarse from heat? Has one blemish on top, not directly visible(pics #20,21,22). Difficult to show all details, glare, etc and satisfaction guaranteed or return it.
