The mantle clock has a 17 1/2 inch base and is a two tone wood. The clock keeps time and chimes once at the half hour and multiple times depending on what time it is. Two chimes for 2 o’clock, seven chimes for 7 o’clock etc.. The clock is in beautiful condition. I tried to show one small scratch on the glass which ends up on center of the hands, the electrical cord has been replaced with a new one and the clock works great.

This is a Plymouth (made by Seth Thomas) Tambour style Mantel clock, 8 day, hour and half hour strike on double chime rods. It has a large 5 1/2 inch dial in 2 colors (black and gold) behind a brass bezel with a convex lens. The overall size of the case is 20 L x 9 1/2 H x 6 1/4 D and features a 4503 movement. The clock is complete with a duplex key and pendulum. The clock has been serviced: cleaned and oiled with parts repaired or replaced as necessary to run.

Very nice, 1921 Seth Thomas Tambour #74 mantle clock with 113 movement. Movement was rebuilt with several bushings replaced. All three main springs were removed, cleaned, and oiled. Beat was adjusted and has been running in test for several months. The chime and strike work as it should. All hammer pads have been replaced. The bezel and beveled glass show some wear but normal for its age. If you have any questions, please ask. I have rebuilt more than 100, 113, and 113A movements over the years. I’m trying to thin out my accumulation of clocks and sacrificing this one at such a low price.
