This is a vintage Seth Thomas clock in Steeple design and marked 5005. I believe it is Mahogany. I know Nothing about these old clocks. It has the pendulum and key, is running and the chime strikes. Although it seems to run fast for a while and then stop. The face is in good condition and there is no damage to the glass or wood. I do not know how to get into it to see the workings. Antique Seth Thomas 8 Day Time, Strike and Alarm Steeple Clock Circa 1882. It has the original signed Seth Thomas 8 day time, strike and alarm movement that is in really nice condition, not showing much sign of wear at all. It is still running, keeping time and gonging properly. It has the original label inside with a sale sticker pasted over it dated 1882. The reverse painted bottom glass depicting an 1800’s lady appears to be original.
