The case is in beautiful condition and maintains a brilliant shine with only a couple of small nicks/losses in the veneer primarily at the corners, but these are very small – most less than 1/4 (see photos). Rare Antique SETH THOMAS SONORA CHIME Mantel CLOCK. Has date of Feb 18 1908. Sometimes it will stop, I’ve gone in sneak moved the pendulum and it starts back up again. Has been keeping time for 10 hours straight so far. I believe it needs some tuning on the chimes. Sometimes they will go off. This is a nice example of a SETH THOMAS Sonora 2 bell ding dong strike mantle clock. It has its original ADAMANTINE finish that really only has a couple small nicks on the top corners. It has been running strong and striking correctly for several days. It looks to have been cleaned and lubricated not too long ago. It does have its original back wood cover with a rough label intact.
