A great looking Seth Thomas mantle clock, looks to be made from black slate or a type of black stone with faux marble highlights. The clock is 12″ H x 15 3/4″ wide x 6 1/2 deep. The clock is a heavy 27lbs.

This antique French mantle clock is a beautiful addition to any collection. The clock features an open escapement and is made of slate and marble. The clock mechanism is made by Seth Thomas. The clock is not currently running. I think it was wound too tight. I can’t determine why there is a spot on the porcelain face that is distorted as it doesn’t appear to be damaged and is quite solid. Anyways, the clock displays very well and is a beautiful example of an early timepiece.

This is a working clock that keeps accurate time. The clock measures 1 1 tall, 1 4 long and 6deep. The case is in good condition with no noticeable marks. No breaks, cracks or repairs. T he marble inserts displays well. The 4.5 porcelain dial is in very good condition. The 5.5bezel, and beveled glass are also in very good condition. The 8 day brass movement is clean and works correctly. T he strike side runs on a full wind for 6 days. The movement correctly strikes on a gong every half hour and full hour.
