Antique Seth Thomas Clock for Mantel / Shelf made late 1800’s original complete. Also has original key. I haven’t tested it but I can read instructions and try it. As you can see it wants to run. See tape measure for dimensions. Will need servicing and looks like the crutch was repaired. Case has wear and a few small pieces of veneer missing but not bad at all for its age and is very solid. Label is all but completely gone but I think the style of label puts it around early 1850’s. Measures approximately 18 inches in total length including the bottom feet by 7 inches wide including the bottom feet by 11 inches tall including the bottom feet. Exterior is moderately dirty and dusty throughout. Exterior shows moderate to heavy surface scratching, scuffing, general wear, paint wear and brown discoloration throughout. The brown discoloration is very heavy on the top throughout. There is a pencil eraser sized veneer flake on the center of the top. There is a silver dollar sized stain along the top center. Up for sale is an Antique Key Wind Seth Thomas Sonora Chime Mahogany Mantle Shelf Clock. The clock is in great original condition. The dial has some marks on it as pictured, but overall the clock is in very nice condition for its age. The clock is running but could use a servicing to run properly. Clock is in good shape overall with a few signs of wear on the case, but no major damage. Has the pendulum weight but does not have a key, so I’m unable to wind it to test. Internal parts appear to be in good shape with no damage or signs of wear. Measures 11″ x 5″ x 9. There are some dates in pencil that I’m assuming are dates the clock was serviced, but I cannot say for sure if that’s what they mean. Seth Thomas Eclipse Antique Mantel, Shelf Clock ca 1885 Connecticut, USA. As mentioned above this clock is in working order and excellent condition. Brass and paper dial over an eight day spring driven signed and dated original brass movement, hands, and alarm. The case appears to be walnut in the original finish which has developed a lovely patina giving this clock an austere rich presence. Dimensions; Height – 24″/ width – 15″/ Depth – 4-5/8.
